I Needed A PIck-Me-Up!!!

So I Don't Forget

I haven't kept a baby book.

I was given a baby calendar by my mom who knew I would never do a baby book.

She thought I might be able to keep up with a calendar.

I haven't changed the month in at least 3.

I am blogging so I can remember.

My 13 month week 3 year old is growing and doing so many new and wonderful things.

She.....

~*throws her diaper away in the trash can (at our house and my moms!)

~* can bring you either a basketball or tennis ball depending on what you ask for
~* is REALLY good at giving kisses
~*says "hi" to everyone we see....it is so cute walking through the store with her saying hi and waving to everyone we pass!
~* goes down the stairs backwards safely all by herself
~*waves hello and goodbye
~*loves the bath & coloring on the bathtub walls
~*will bring you her purse if you ask

~*understands 'no touch' (but like any 1 year old, chooses when to listen)

~*says 'ball, bye, mamma, dadda and hot'

On Cue, She....

~*blows her nose
~*stops (most of the time) & sits down

~*sings
~*shuts doors
~*will point to her eyes, nose, ears, mouth....
~*will play sleep with her baby- she will lay down on the floor with her baby in her arms next to her and suck her thumb and pretend to sleep

~* while sucking her thumb, if you say 'not now' she will take it out

~*can give a high 5!

KT's Graduated With Her MASTERS!!!!

My cousin Kaitie graduated this past weekend from Biola with her Masters!!! We had a great evening celebrating her and all that she has achieved!

Princess???

Kaylie's Grandma Sharon gave her some dress up jelwery and tiara(s)

Kaylie LOVES it all.

I keep it in a princess purse and it is the first thing she goes for in her toy basket.

It provides HOURS of entertainment.

Today I pulled out the princess purse.

I needed some quiet time.

I don't feel good.

She is adorable!

I love her!

Water Baby

Kaylie's friend Elijah had a water party for his birthday.....Kaylie wasn't able to go down the water slide (mostly because mom won't put a swim suit on to go with her) so she spent most of the time on the slip and slide.....She just loves being in the water- I'm looking forward to this summer and her learning how to swim!!!!

1st Birthday

I'm a terrible mother....I was too busy doing other things to take pictures...But here is what I have from her party.

We had the party at a local park, which turned out to be a perfect location. It was a polka dot theme....Kaylie looked so pretty!

My friend Sara gave Kaylie this Birthday crown- I thought it was adorable and plan on having K wear it every birthday from here on out! (and if she won't, I will!!!)

After the food, we had a pinata....some kids were more into than others,

but I think it was a fun idea!

My friends & mom baked all these cupcakes...thank you, glad I didn't have to do it!!!

We gave K her birthday cupcake....this was my favorite part, she studied it a bit, tasted it and then shoved the WHOLE thing into her mouth. I think she liked it!!!

This is one happy birthday girl!!!

Family!

Not all grandkids were able to make it this past weekend,

but we had a great time with the ones that could!

I think these two look so much alike I just had to post the picture, LOVE it!!!

Oh, Happy Day!!!

I realize this may mean nothing to you, but was the greatest find for me!!! For about two months now I have not been able to find my sunglasses that I wear while I work out. I have looked everywhere, or so I thought! I had resorted to being a "supermodel" as we call it (wearing big sunglasses) while walking because I couldn't find the above beauties.....There is nothing like that perfect pair of sunglasses that fit that one necessary purpose, and not be able to find them. And then today, I changed diaper bags, and there they were in the outside pocket.....Hip Hip Horray!!! This find inspires me to exercise more now!!!!!

PS....I told you you wouldn't care! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

April is a month full of happy birthdays in our family (both extended and immediate) Devin's is first and this year was a big one (30!!!) so we went out to BJ's to celebrate last night.

We had a great evening doing what we do best, eating!!!!

Kaylie is next (after Uncle Dave), and hers is a big one too (1!!!)

Be Careful with "I"ll NEVER" Statements

I said a few months ago that Kaylie would never have a doll and that if she did, she would never take it in public....well I'm currently eating my words. My aunts gave Kaylie this doll for her birthday and she won't put it down. She hugs her, talks non-stop to her and kisses her. It is very precious.

I also said I would never have a mini-van....I sure hope I don't eat those words too!

Disclaimer- sad post today!

My grandma passed away this week.

It was a rough week, but we are glad she is no longer suffering. Life will sure be different without her & I miss her already.

My grandma was one of the nicest lady I knew. I don't remember one time in my life that I heard her say something mean about another person. She was moral almost to a fault. She was a woman of few words, but ment everything she said. I enjoyed her being so close the last few years and being able to spend time with her.

She loved Kaylie and had a very special relationship with my baby over the past year. I'm glad to always have the memories of great- grandma and Kaylie.

I am looking foward to seeing her again one day!

Spring Training Baby!!!

Here we are in front of the stadium. The Angels have a great Spring Training facility. All the fields are within walking distance & they make it very easy to be able to watch the different levels practice and warm up.

I FINALLY got my Reggie Willits autographed baseball & photo.....remember the post about waiting in line at the fair for him?... Now all I need is to get a picture of him and Devin together!

We came out here with some guys that Devin works with and one of them has a son that plays for the Angels farm team so it has been fun to see him and hang out with him too.....here he is warming up for his game.
