Kaylie & her bestie Avery.
They light up when they see each other

Last night Kaylie had Avery giggling for the first time,
it was great!
Kaylie wanted to have a sleep-over but party pooper Haley said no!

Learning

A project of Devin's while he's home to help
me is to teach Kaylie her
numbers, letters, shapes, and colors.
He does "school" with her daily.
It's pretty cute!

Rain Rain

What did you during the rainy week last week?

Devin BBQed...
and Kaylie & Daddy made
their own indoor playground!

Trey Stephen Whitsell

8 lbs 8 oz 21 inches
one BIG bundle of love
(BIG for me, I know they come much bigger!)
He is a cuddle bug like no other. Kaylie never snuggled like he does!

When we brought Trey home Kaylie was sick so the only
way she could hold him was if she wore a mask.
She was very good about wearing the mask-
she really loves her brother!
She was so sick... she really only wanted to sit on the
couch with ALL her babies- she was so funny!

Kaylie loves Trey & is a great big sister!

Our little guy!
We are settling into being a family of 4 nicely!
Mostly because Devin is home for a month...
so thankful for that!

"ho ho ho"

Every year Santa comes to my parents neighborhood
and brings all the kids a present.
I really enjoyed this as a kid
and love that we started the tradition with Kaylie.

Kaylie got a Dr. kit this year....
she LOVES it
she gives her babies and family members
a daily check up!
The grandmas and us
Maybe the last family of 3 photo we take......

Baby Weight

This post is a little self-indulgent,
but where else can I brag a bit?
:)
When I was pregnant with Kaylie I used it
as an opportunity to eat whatever
I wanted whenever I wanted to and
ended up gaining +40 lbs.
I could never get rid of all the baby weight.
This time around I knew things had to be
different. I have been working very hard to
keep up my walking every day
and limit my dessert to once (or three) times
a week.
I have been very proud of myself.
So far, with about 4 weeks to go I have
only gained 14 lbs.
Which is perfect, because my goal was 20.
I'm hoping that means getting back to pre-Kaylie
weight will be a little more possible!

I think this is from 34 weeks, but the latest

picture in the computer...
I guess I haven't downloaded pictures
from the last few weeks.

Last week Kaylie wanted to have her belly

picture taken too. It was so cute how she

was trying to be just like mamma!

Rainy Days....

Earlier this week we finally got some rain!
When I was working, I hated rainy days....
now, I love them.
We spent the day....

making a gingerbread house
..a little disappointed with how it
turned out...
the icing was a little runnier then we
expected, oh well!
Took a quick bathroom break
Right now we are playing a game,
she likes the "treat" too much &
calls wolf at least once a day.
But hey, she's on the toilet & I don't change
poopy diapers anymore!!
I had Minestrone soup cooking in my crock pot all day.
Devin liked it, I wasn't sold.
(the picture was pre noodles, and extra veggies)
Devin hung the fire place...ha ha....
YEARS ago Devin made this for me
and my roommates to hang our stockings on
in our apartment.
I kept it & hung it in my classroom
Wasn't willing to throw it away....
not sure what made him hang it up, but
it's sorta fun since we don't have a real
fire place yet.
We made Christmas sugar cookes too, but I
didn't take any pictures of that process.
I even put on my rain boots (yea!!!!) :)
and ran some errands.
I just had to get out in that rain!
It is SO fun to play in the rain
with rain boots on!

Christmas Photo Tour

I LOVE decorating for Christmas-
I long for the day after Thanksgiving
not for shopping, but for decorating!
Then I get to enjoy it all for over a month- until
the first of January!
Here is a photo tour of most of our home
at Christmas.... I'd love to see yours.
This adorable snowman greets visitors-
my dad made him years ago, I just
love him!
Our table ready for a dinner party
tonight!

A dear friend gave me the table runner last year
and I just adore it since it matches our
polka-dot theme. How did she know!!
Another dear friend gave us boxes full of
holiday books. I added them to our
Christmas books and we read a Christmas
story a day. What a fun tradition we
started this year!
We aren't ready for Advent yet,
so we do an Advent Calendar and it
is perfect for Kaylie.
She loves opening the doors and finding
something inside to put "by Ho Ho Ho"
Who says ornaments are only for the
Christmas tree?
I love these in my hurricans!!
So much color and fun in every room!
A terrible picture of the wreath,
but Devin made the bow!
Plate & cup for cookies and milk for Santa.
My favorite nativity scene.
My grandpa made it & it
doubles as a puzzle.
(a puzzle I can NEVER put together & always have to
ask Devin or a brother to do it for me!)
Half our mantle
More mantle, a collection in
progress.
Stockings hung by the fire with care.
(just minus the fire...maybe one day!)
Our tree (duh) I wish I was better at
taking pictures because the picture
just does not do it justice....
Ribbon hung, waiting for Christmas cards
Bakers rack in the kitchen.

I would love to see your home all decorated...
Please share!!
