Last Day

of her first year of preschool!!!

Her class, some of the kids are graduating

to Kindergarten so they got caps

They sang songs and had a little "performance"

It was adorable!

New Bathroom....

Devin has spent the past month or so gutting and 

re-doing our hall/kids/guest bathroom

and boy did it turn out 

AMAZING!!!

why it NEEDED to get gutted and

started over from scratch!

And a handy little touch,

Devin turned the bottom drawers on each side into

a step stool for each kid so they can reach their sink

I mean, really.

is the monkey and shark bath robes....

I could not be any happier with the final result

and how it turned out.

A bathroom that I'm not embarrassed for

our guests to use! 

Shh, don't tell anyone

we skipped church today and went to the park

We....

fed the ducks

(I don't have pictures to prove it because I spent

much of the time on top of the rocks trying to 

stay away from the ducks- those things scare me)

played in the sand

spun ourselves dizzy!

had some help from daddy cause we were

too short!

climbed

played some basketball

but it turned into more of a keep away

and a game of chase

and get the ball, cover it and defend it

I wanted some pictures with the kids

Kaylie was a good sport

but Trey would not for the life of him smile for the camera

and take a picture with me

Mother's Day

This girl is growing up SO fast and becoming one sweet little girl.
She woke up this morning and wished me a happy Mother's Day and
asked if I was feeling better. (ALL ON HER OWN!!!)
  Melted my heart!
I am truly lucky to be her mom

Woot Woot....New Oven!

I really REALLY hate when people complain about

a situation they are in when they chose it or created the problem....

We chose to buy a house that did not have a working oven,

we chose to not put in a working oven

But not having an oven for a year is painful in many ways.....

but we chose that, so I tried not to complain.

Last week our neighbors were gutting their house

so I asked if I could have their oven-

(they were just going to throw it away)

They said YES...and bonus, it came with a microwave

Woot Woot!!!

Devin had to modify a cabinet a little to make it fit,

but what an amazing blessing!

When you don't have a 'necessity' for almost 2 years

you appreciate it so. much. more when you get it!

Kaylie is 4....FOUR!!!!!!

Wow, FOUR..... WOW!!!

Her auntie M, Auntie Cake & Uncle Jus gave her a

double stroller which she promptly filled with

babies and blankets.

She is the best little mommy around!

What a fun birthday week

I do love celebrating my girl

and one day I will make sure she likes celebrating me!

Playing in the Rain!

When Kaylie woke up from her nap she asked

if we could go for a walk in the rain....

So we all put on our rain boots, rain coats and

umbrellas.....

It was going so smoothly until.....

they found the gutter!

we came home soaking wet,

but haven't enjoyed a walk more!

My mom and Aunt Shirley took the kids

to Balboa the other day to ride across on the ferry,

play in the sand and have a picnic lunch.

The kids were so excited they got themselves hats and

couldn't wait to wear the backpack for their adventure!

And Kaylie came home with LOTS of treasures

in the form of shells....
