My good friend is having a pumpkin party and since I don't do pumpkin anything she suggested I make these little delights...
My only saving grace is the real pumpkin thing I'm making her I'm not making until tomorrow- and I have more faith in myself for those than I did when she said she wanted me to make these.

Since she no longer stays in one place, Devin thinks this is a great idea..... I'm not sure I agree. I do think she is adorable in the basket- and she LOVES it, so what is the harm?!!!

Halloween

We didn't dress Kaylie up this year, instead we went to the Un-Halloween party (Light the Night) at our church. She was our little pumpkin for the night. Maybe we will dress her up next year when she can actually walk....

PS.....don't ask about my lipstick, I have no idea what I was thinking!

I love Tiffany & Co so much I will do a marathon for a necklace!!!...scratch that, a half marathon & a weekend full of friends and family isn't bad either!!! We had such a great time in the City for two days!

The weekend started out a little shakey as a glove was blown into the #2 engine of the airplane we were in. After 1 1/2 hours, a few mechanics and lots of digital pictures being sent off to more mechanics they thought our plane was safe to continue to fly.....

We had a great weekend & are already looking forward to next year's race! Anyone want to join?

Happy Apple Birthday Sarah!

My cousin threw her roommate/friend an Apple Themed birthday party....me, who does not like to dress up or join in a theme.....thought it would be fun to play along!

I made Sarah these little beauties (so she could 'pig' out!)

The baby looked adorable in her apple outfit (minus the napkin- although that is cute too!)

We made carmel apples & bobbed for apples (I can't be included in the we here because I opted out of that game) and finished the evening with a very fun game of apples to apples!

Happy Un-Birthday to Me!

My great friend Jamie (along with some of my other great friends) threw me an Un-(half)Birthday Party this weekend because I spent my real birthday giving birth...thanks friends! The theme was 'Silly Hat Sunday"..... we had tea and dessert.....It was a great afternoon and so much fun! ....I had a great time, even though I hate surprises!

This is Mitchell Sains eating his toes at my fathers request. After laughing at Kaylie for sucking on her toes, my dad offered Mitchell $1 for every toe he could get in his mouth. Mitchell quickly took him up on his offer and got 8 toes in!

Well, if you remember her Dr. visit at 3 months we all found out that baby Kaylie can read....but did you know she can turn the pages too?!!!

Fall Has Come

Today I went to Crate & Barrel to get some Fall decorations....now I just need a little advice to help them pop & look as cute in my home as they did in the store.....






I love these dish towels.... very autumn.









What else does my table need to look cute & fallish?....I really thought this was going to make more of a statement than it is.....where did I go wrong? Does it just need table settings, or something more?

I have always wanted a wreath, but never wanted to put in the effort while we lived in someone elses home.....decorating is so much fun, but I'm not very good at it- any advice will be well taken!

First Debate

Go Palin!...Kaylie was very interested in tonight's debate (ok ok....I know it is the bright lights, but being into politics at 6 months sounds much better) There were better pictures of her watching Palin, but I look awful so pridefully I'm not posting them! (at least I'm honest!)

Home Is....IN ORANGE COUNTY!!!!

SO nice to be back in Orange County & not living out of my car anymore!!!! We bought a home and are so loving being homeowners! We had/have A LOT of work to do to get the place to our liking & have been VERY busy!

You can't tell much from these pictures, but it was very plain & borning.

We spent a long time moving in and fixing it up (and are still working)....this is what Kaylie did while we worked & the carpet was being installed.....

She is asleep in her swing in the garage! So great to be flexible at such a young age....something I am still trying to learn!

What's For Dinner Mom?

Kaylie started eating veggies (fruits will come later this week)..... She is a BIG eater....Shouldn't surprise anyone who knows me and Devin well.

I asked the dr. how much I should be feeding her and he said, "she will let you know when she is done".....Devin and I think he is crazy because she would eat forever if we let her.....we stopped after 9 tablespoons of food because she showed NO signs of being "done".

I can never blog again!

Somehow in the move the cord to connect the camera to the computer has disapeared....I have SO many pictures to blog with and was all set to do that tonight......I cannot find that darn cord ANYWHERE!!!!!.....

I will keep searching but may end up having to buy a new one......

What a month! I cannot believe we have not had internet in a month.....

What does one do without internet?............. I hope you never have to find out!

I feel like every time I tried to do something this past month the person ALWAYS responded with "what is your email address, so I can email you the information".....one really cannot live with out internet these days.....

But I'm back....I have so much blogging to do I don't even know where to begin or how ......so maybe I won't play catch up just start from now!
